Dr. Gass is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon with more than 30 years of experience, and he has partnered with our practice to provide a wide array of surgical procedures. Thanks to him, CCD can now offer dental implant placement, corrective jaw surgery, and cosmetic facial bone surgery among many other advanced treatments. He gives us the ability to treat more patients in-house without having to send them running around town with a referral. Should you or a loved one ever require oral surgery, you can trust that you’ll be in good hands with Dr. Gass.
Dental & Surgical Education
In order to become a certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Gass had to complete 4-6 years of specialized training in addition to his general dental training. So, after graduating from the Creighton University School of Dentistry in 1981, he promptly entered into a surgical residency at the University of Connecticut. He completed the program in 1984 and did a one-year externship at the Queen Mary Hospital in London before finally coming back home to the US to practice.
Staying active in the dental community is very important to Dr. Gass because it helps him stay up to date on the latest advancements in dentistry and share his expertise with even more people. He is currently a member of:
- Omicron Kappa Upsilon – the National Dental School Honor Society
- American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (Diplomate since 1987)
- Anesthesia Review Committee Member
